Roy Taylor I would take time to enjoy my visit to wildest East Africa before Western Civilization and revisit my youth with heavy emphasis on realizing my instincts for survival!
Roy Taylor Standing in my shed when a cobra decided to slither between my legs. The moment when your heart stops beating and reality requires self control!
Roy Taylor I don't get writers block in the normal sense of the word, I think that concentration is the fix for any thing like that! If you aren't focused then inspiration will elude you. I go into another world (my book story) and I let it flow out as it comes into my mind. Then I read it later and see if it feels good!
Roy Taylor I just love it, I have now written two books both self published and the first one is completely 180 degrees different to the other. The first one must have had some merit, it got taken up as extra curricula reading for a psychology class at a University and I am guilty of not marketing it in any way, Thats the big one, how to get it out on the Streets. My new book is my road to success I hope and I am working every opportunity to make it happen!
Roy Taylor I say this to everyone. If you have the desire to create, noone is going to make you do that! You have to stop and make a firm decision to do it regardless of the distractions and just set about creating a goal that has a deadline!
Roy Taylor I am working on the audio version of my book "African Sunsets" A Settlers' Story.
I am also compiling the ideas for the sequel.
Roy Taylor I work a full time self employed job. I get to control my working life myself so when I feel the urge to write I sit down and read my last couple of paragraphs then move forward, sometimes a chapter sometimes a paragraph it all depends on what is going on.
Roy Taylor I always wanted to write a novel and because I had a unique child hood being raised in Kenya East Africa, I thought it would be a great story line to use those experiences in my book.
