Hello Gavin. This is really surprising and encouraging to hear. I wouldn’t have thought my stories would have such a positive aspect, and I am a little shocked. Really the only way to support me is by reading. I don’t have any plans for other sources. I intend to have book five will be out soon, and hope you enjoy it as well.
J.T. Wright
Actually, one of the reasons the fifth book is taking so long is because I keep getting distracted by other ideas. I do have an end point for the current story but not for Trent and the other characters. My goal is to see Trent in a position where he is interested in the wider world and then to write stand alone stories of his adventures as well as Cullen and Orion’s origins.

Hi Gerald! Thank you for the support and well wishes! The book is coming along and I am hoping to be done in the next couple of months. I have scheduled proofreading to happen in July, and I am using that deadline to spur myself along.
J.T. Wright
Hey Francisco! Thanks for checking in. I am trying to have book 5 in the hands of an editor for proofreading by July, which will hopefully mean a release around the end of July to August. It isn't done yet, but I think I can make it!
J.T. Wright
Hey Simon, unfortunately, it takes a little longer for the audiobook to come out. I have had a little trouble finish book five but it is coming along.

I love Terry Pratchett and the comparison tickles me though I’m nowhere as good as he was. David Gemmel is another favorite of mine (Cullen gets some inspiration from Druss, though my Immortals are less an elite unit and more of a joke). Glen Cook, C.S. Friedman and Gene Wolf are some more authors I find make me want to write. There are so many great writers and wonderful stories out there, it's hard to list them all.
J.T. Wright
It would be great to be able to explore their story as well but for the time being I’m trying to concentrate on just a few. I would like to say just Trent but other stories always creep in for attention. Ranar and Geisel will get a chapter on the upcoming book, though I haven't found a place to slip it into the narrative yet.

(view spoiler)[Hello, I have spent the last 2-3 weeks chain listening to your books and absolutely love them. I was wondering if there was any place where we could get a brief description of the classes. Cullen's Dreadnaught class and Allistern's (? not sure on the spelling) Unyielding Slayer class have me dying for more info. Either way, I am eagerly awaiting the next book and look forward to reading more of your work. (hide spoiler)]
J.T. Wright
At the moment there’s no place to find information on the Classes except my notes, which are hardly complete. The plan is to eventually write prequels to Trent’s story. The Dreadnaught Class will be better described in Cullen’s story and lately I’ve been jotting down some thoughts on a stand alone about the Elven/Al’rashian war, where Unyielding Slayer plays a large part. Of course I also have some ideas for other places Trent would explore in the wider world, and I can’t say which one I will be moving on to once the current plot wraps up. Cullen’s story is on the works, I write a chapter here and there when I’m stuck on Trent but obviously he is a long way from becoming the Dreadnaught.

Hello Gabriel, writing has gone really well recently. I should still take a couple of months though since it looks like the book will be a lengthy one. I like little details unfortunately and some of the chapters are running long. With chapters running from 3,000 to 6,000 words each, if I continue writing 2-3,000 words a day, I could potentially be done by then end of December, maybe. Then it will take some time to edit and review. It is more likely I will finish writing in January because life gets in the way. I am hoping the book will come out in early 2023.

You have got me worried. I thought Trent used Spiritual Flame in all the appropriate spots. It’s not really all that powerful a spell, just slightly more versatile and hotter than Spark. Trent has been getting away from using fire charms in combat sine he learned actual spells, and uses Spark in everyday situations because it’s convenient and at this point the only really mana cost comes from combining it with Fire Manipulation. I may not have made that clear though. It’s something I will have to watch for.
J.T. Wright
Heart of the Inferno makes Trent more attractive in some ways to Fire Elementals but the effect it would have on a specific spirit that he feeds varies depending on which direction the spirit is growing in. I don’t want to get to far into it because I have plans for those Elementals to wake up and participate eventually.

I was with the Army. I served out of Fort Stewart with 3-15 Infantry. I’m glad you are enjoying the story!
J.T. Wright
The current storyline is probably going to be another two or three books. After that I have several ideas for characters new and old to explore the larger world.
J.T. Wright
Unfortunately I got a little hung up on a spot so the story is behind schedule. Right now I’m working on plugging in all the bits and pieces I wrote while suck. I’m still a ways away from being finished.
J.T. Wright
Hey Rex, sorry for such a late response. The current storyline is looking to have six or seven books. I also have ideas for stories in the larger world revolving around the same characters.

(view spoiler)[Will the Red Tiger come into the story in book 5? Or is that something you want to leave the book after that? I noticed you put in the prologue of book 4 but I think you mentioned bringing the clans into the story. Which one will take priority? (hide spoiler)]
J.T. Wright
Yes, the clans and the events in the kingdom are still a ways out because the 4th book didn’t cover quite as much time as I would have liked but the Red Tiger and other leaders of towns in the Wilds, as well as other characters from the prologue, should be in book 5.

Hello Jennifer,
Actually a fair amount of writing has been achieved the last couple of weeks. The story is moving along, new characters and obstacles are being fleshed out. Unfortunately I don't know how long the book will be so I’m not sure how close I am to the middle much less the end. I would like the book to come out by the end of the year, or January at the latest but I can’t make any promises.
