Christine C. Heuner I am currently working on a novel, a contemporary romance, about a thirty-two year-old woman who has an unplanned pregnancy. She has lost her job, lives with her mother, and works for her brother until something better comes her way. She cultivates a romance, but, at the same time, she's still taken with the baby's father, her ex-boyfriend. I also have a few short stories on the back burner.
Christine C. Heuner To succeed at writing, you must write often. Writers have different opinions about whether writers should/must write everyday. I do write every day, but it's not always the same type of writing. I sometimes write only in my journal. Other days, I'm more involved in my writing in the form of short stories or a novel. Writers should try submitting their work to journals, agents, or publishers after they have composed several drafts of a work and, preferably, had someone else provide feedback on that work. When rejections arrive, as they inevitably will, keep writing and submitting. Having grit is key in the writing business.
