I've had the name Slab floating around in my head in one form or another for about ten years or so. In the summer of 2019, I was sitting around watching classic 90s sports films and had an idea. Then, I thought up some characters, gave them some silly names, came up with a space sport, and bam! I knew I was onto something originalish. So... I ignored my wife and kids for six months and turned into into an absurd space opera called Slab Steele and the Venusian Exchange.

Easy. Yavin IV to join Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy and learn to become a Jedi. Um, the one from my youth... not the Disney one. That's a personal opinion, of course.

Craig Alanson has a couple coming out this summer that I can't wait to check out. I'll also probably continue my fifth re-read of the Aubrey-Maturin series. Love it more and more the older I get.
