Jennifer Rahn Good question! Probably from multiple anime shows, my day job, watching the news, and daydreaming. I know for sure one of my ideas came while my mind was wandering during a cancer symposium, and the presenter was saying something about how incorrect DNA architecture can lead to uncontrolled gene expression.
Jennifer Rahn Many ways...the most common way is to read a really good book by someone else, which always triggers my imagination. Sometimes a story gets visually triggered by something really simple, like seeing a piece of twine on the table and wondering where it came from.
Jennifer Rahn I don't have a title yet, but it will be another science-fiction project. It will centre on technology and brain function.

Jennifer Rahn Keep "upping" your game. Every time you write something new, pay attention to other writers, especially your favourites, and try to hit the targets they do. Go to as many conventions as you can, and soak in the commentary from editors and publishers -- heed what they say! Read the Turkey City Lexicon. Take critical feedback as valuable information rather than personal attacks, and use everything you learn to improve your next piece.
