Jennifer Moorcroft I've always loved writing, ever since I was a child. I published my 1st booklet with the CTS, on St Elizabeth of the Trinity'. She has been my favourite spiritual writer since I read her biography 'Praise of Glory', soon after I was received into the Church age 18. 'Praise of Glory' seemed to be the only book in English on her at that time, so I began writing a full-length book on her using only French sources - using my schoolgirl French! I so enjoyed the process of writing that this has sparked my writing ever since. In my writing I write about the beauty, joy and love in the lives of saints and holy people. I want to show the beauty of the Catholic Faith, when normally the only media coverage the Church gets in the media is something negative.
Jennifer Moorcroft Well, this past year I've had three republications, 'A Catholic Response to the Jehovah's Wtnesses' 'The Hidden Light' a biography of St Dominic, which are already live and available, and 'God is all Joy', a biography of St Teresa of Los Andes, which should be launched before next month.
I've written three new books, 'The Simplicity of Love', a biography of Marguerite Chevignard, (Guite) the sister of St Elisabeth of the Trinity, which is due for launch by the middle of next month.
'The Joy That is in Me', another biography of Elisabeth Leseur (my 1st entitled 'When Silence Speaks') This is available as an ebook at present and will shortly be available in paperback and hardback.
The 3rd book is another one on St Teresa of Los Andes entitled 'Juanita', which will also be available next month.
So I'm taking a bit of a breather at present, with final proofreadings to do'
but I always try to have another project up my sleeve when one book is finished. So I have an article on Sr Lucia, the visionary of Fatima, to finish.
I would also like to do a small booklet on St Teresa of Los Andes' writings on the Eucharist and the Sacred Heart, as a sort of prayer book
Jennifer Moorcroft Don't give up. Don't think that any of your writing, if it is rejected for publication, is worthless, because it is all good practice. Write about what really inspires you
Jennifer Moorcroft Because I write biographies about exceptional people in the Catholic Faith, there is no lack of inspiration, and I grow in my faith as I write about them.
