Keep going. It had taken a year to see the beginnings of uptake on my first novel... Never give up! Don't waste your money on PR companies, very few pay per review companies have any real impact. Amazon advertising will work, but you need to prepared to take a hit on your first book. Sell it cheap and try to get it out there ;)

The second novel of my series, the Summer Haven.
It is called The Oldest Religion is Fear. It builds upon the first novel to explain how and why the apocalypse occurred, and shows how the alien discovery party began to interfere with the people of the planet prior to the infection. It is a much darker novel, as the aliens use anti-religion to manipulate humans into assisting with their plans.

The Hyperion novels by Dan Simmons - Absolutely loved them. Absolutely loved the romantic ending to the last novel, a genuine surprise and a lovely end
I also read the Jane Hawk series by Dean Koontz - Loved those too, I especially like Dean's way of making children and animals lovable, its not the main thread but always a pleasure :)
