Thank you for doing that! What inspired you to start writing your series? What inspired the story? (I haven't read them yet, but they look interesting!) (Sorry. A lot of questions. 😄 How are you doing today?)

E.B. Roshan For the Shards of Sevia series, I gathered a lot of ideas/inspiration from personal experiences and those of friends while living overseas. And I just enjoy writing about people--interesting people, strange people, awful people...romances (good ones, anyway) are excellent character studies.

Oh wow! That's cool that you've lived in the Middle East, and Asia. Could I ask why you lived there? What's your favourite book, you've ever written? Why is it your favourite?

E.B. Roshan My husband and I worked with a humanitarian aid organization in Afghanistan for several years…before that I taught English at a school in Sanaa, Yemen (when I was still single.)

My favorite book I’ve written is always the one I’m currently working on…

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?

E.B. Roshan I think I'm a bit "traveled-out." Pretty happy here in boring old Missouri. I do know for sure I wouldn't be interested in visiting Sevia any time soon!

How do you deal with writer’s block?

E.B. Roshan To be honest, I'm not sure that I've ever experienced real writer's block. I'm either writing or doing something else.

How do you get inspired to write?

E.B. Roshan Inspiration only really comes when I just decide I’m going to do it and start typing. I always have the story in my head, but getting it out is sometimes challenging.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

E.B. Roshan "Wrong Place, Right Time" is a romance, so it was inspired, at least in part, by my own relationship with my husband. Writing a love story is a fascinating character study.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

E.B. Roshan I love creating new things, and writing stories is one of the most satisfying ways I've found for doing that. Also, it's something that requires essentially no supplies and you can do it pretty much anywhere.
