I just write a load of nonsense then walk away until tomorrow. Usually when I come back to it I see something lying in the middle of the nonsense that I am able to expand upon.

I'm not a good person to ask this question. I don't make a living from it... Yet!
I'm a lucky person, the best thing is probably a feeling of accomplishment having a book published. If I die tomorrow it's always out there as a little part of me.
It took a long time to learn not to be guilty for not sitting eight straight hours typing, but there's a lot of other things to do, research, building a public profile, editing (I do my own) and living a life.
I don't read as much as I used to, because I'm always thinking of my own stories haha.

Just start writing. It doesn't have to be perfect at the beginning. The first thing I ever wrote with the intention of completing a book, I threw away. It was about stating new jobs, wasn't funny, and was difficult to see who an audience would be. Once I answered the question, "Who is your audience?" I knew what I wanted to write about.

A third and fourth book in the Ben Teeley stories. Working title's 'Ben Teeley's school days' and 'Ben's close friends.' Though I will probably change title names before they are finished.

I usually sit alone and play classical or electronic music (Tangerine Dream).

It will be a continuation of the theme in book one. Book one came to life after I was bought a book to read by my daughter for a journey home. The style and format was something I could relate to when I wanted to write about my experiences.
