Will there be more to come for the Ransom Canyon Series?

Jodi Thomas Ransom Canyon is one of my favorite series, but right now my editor has me writing more books for the Honey Creek series.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jodi Thomas I always tell my new writers to read books in the genre that they will be writing. Also attending a writing academy is life changing!

What are you currently working on?

Jodi Thomas I have been working on my Honey Creek series for the past several years. I just completed Book 5 and am working on my proposal for Book 6.

Hi Jodi, I mostly just a wanted to touch base. I recently finished reading “Mornings on Main” and also “Rewriting Monday”, I’m not sure how I missed “Rewriting Monday” since it has been out for a while. Was Rewriting Monday part of a series? Jodi Thomas Thanks for writing such a sweet note, Marie. REWRITING MONDAY is not part of a series, but THE LITTLE TEASHOP ON MAIN does take place in the same town as MORNINGS ON MAIN.

Right now, I am working on my four-book Honey Creek series. I hope you've read BREAKFAST AT THE HONEY CREEK CAFE. Two more books will be released in 2021 and I am currently writing the fourth book which comes out in 2022.

Jodi- I just love your writing. I’ve read every book you have written. Where do you come up with the wonderful quotes and sayings in your books? Jodi Thomas Thanks, Deishima, for a sweet note and a great question. I started as a writer of historical romance before I wrote contemporary. I still love writing about early Texas as you read in "Father Goose." I hope you have read A TEXAS KIND OF CHRISTMAS with another historical short story you'll enjoy. This isn't a question? I just want to tell you that I love all your books, and especially enjoy the series', where the stories go on and the characters evolve over the years. My favorite series is Harmony. I fell in love with Reagan and Noah, and was so happy to finally see them get their lives together. Thank you so much for all the wonderful stories. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jodi Thomas I’ve driven the roads from Jefferson, Texas to Dallas many times. But this time, in my mind, I was making the journey in a wagon with outlaws determined to kidnap my cargo, the little girls.

The story came alive in my mind and I laughed then cried, then fell in love with my characters. I learned to survive in the untamed land and fight off outlaws.

I drove as the story played out in my head. In three hours I’d covered a month by wagon while fighting storms and hunting for my supper every night.

By the time I stopped in Dallas and pulled into a hotel, my head was packed. It took me two months to write it all down and I think “Father Goose,” (in THE COWBOY WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS) the story of one broken soldier and a runaway woman risking their lives to save five little girls may very well be my favorite short story ever.

I just finished reading Mistletoe Miracle and I loved it! I'd like to know when the other Holloway brothers will get their own story? Btw, I just saw a note that Cooper does have his own already out or coming out soon!
