What are you currently working on?
Amanda Lewis I'm currently working on a novel set in the same world as The Weight of Birds. I'm also working on two series.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Amanda Lewis No limits. The only pressure is the pressure I put on myself.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Amanda Lewis I do house chores, or go to work at my 9-5 job. For me, everyday repetitive tasks make me bored, and when I'm bored my mind starts to wander. I wrote most of the major scenes from The Weight of Birds in my head, while I was working. When I'd get home I'd race to the computer to scramble down the little details of every scene.
