I'm currently on the second draft of what will be book 4 in my Beyond Cascadia series, entitled "Harshest Dawn". It picks up Owen MacIntyre's story from the ending of "Eclipse Rising", so consequently, it's going to be much more of an action-oriented political thriller, but also with a strong emotional appeal.

I am led to uncover stories that occur to me in scenes containing lots of drama and emotion that hint at underlying universal truths. Then I plot the route between these scenes and they become a full story.

As the plot of what became "Echoes Through Distant Glass" developed, I became very intrigued by the relationship between Tomas and his brother Francisco. For years, I was haunted by the tension between those two characters. My quest to discover what would happen between them led to my novel, "Solitude of Light".
