Lei R. Tasker I wanted to be an author since I am age 7. Being a lonely child from a big family, I often wrote down my observation and imagination in my diary.
This habit carried on to my adulthood. I am a very inquisitive person and ask lots of questions in my mind. For example, when I last travel to Scotland and see the hauntingly beautiful castle, I am curious who live there before and what their lives are like. Asking questions helping me to stay inspire to write.
Lei R. Tasker I just published- The three Lives of Aila Douglas and this book took me over 2 years to write. This story was inspired by the trip I make in 2018 to Scotland. My whole family travels in a Campervan and we just take our time driving around route 66. Stunning Coastal scene and once beautiful and magnificent castles stand ruinned waiting to tell their stories.
Lei R. Tasker I just launched The three lives of Aila Douglas Book 1- Missing, Just completed Book 2- Origin, and now working on book 3. I do work with an outline but most of the time the character in the story wants me to tell it differently and I do let it go with the flow even if the outcome is different from what I plan.
Lei R. Tasker I am grateful for being given the opportunity to tell the stories in my mind.
I believe many peoples have great stories of their life to share but are unable to put them in words. I love receiving email from Reader too, it still gives me butterfly in my tummy to receive email from readers telling me how they love the book :)
Lei R. Tasker During those time when I find I cannot write, I usually clean the kitchen..lol. Doing manual chores help me to not think of I have to write, but allows the flow to return. It help me to be still and not think. And often finding little souvenir that we brought back from the road trip in the kitchen drawer, spottong a greeting card from an old friend resting on the kitchen shelve, a vintage teacup given to me by my grandmother will bring beautiful memories that inspire me to write again. I find getting on a road trip the best way to find inspiration. Many unplan trip inspires me to retell stories I heard on the road
Lei R. Tasker My new book "The Three Lives of Aila Douglas" is Base on a trip I make in 2018 to Scotland. The highland has a haunting beauty sentiment that lingers in my heart even after I returned to the UK. I will love to return to this road trip but will love to take more time to let the beautiful place reveal its stories to me.
