As I polish book 2 of The Mari Fable Mysteries, I am starting a dark fantasy romance retelling of Snow White from the evil queen's perspective called The Strongest One of All (first in a duology). Think The Winx Saga meets The Hunger Games plus The Witcher (for ages 19-27 NA).

Writing stories to help readers feel that they're not alone in their experiences. My favorite messages from readers are the ones where they tell me that my book made them feel SEEN. They feel validated in their struggles (especially as a mom). And that is what a story should do. Stories are the best when they help us learn, build empathy, and tell us that we're not alone in this big, confusing world.

Definitely Middle Earth. I'd love to go to the Prancing Pony and just sit in a booth and 'people' watch. Also, attending a Hobbit birthday party with all of the food and music, and dancing would be a blast!
