I don't think too hard about it. I usually have a bit of an idea and I write a paragraph, it goes from there. On The Blacklands it was literally me sitting in a bank waiting for my mortgage approval, looking around and thinking "imagine a world where banks were a thing of the past, but not in a good way". I wrote the first paragraph on my phone and went from there. That first paragraph became the start of the second chapter.

Its a habit, for me. I spend 30mins before my commute to work at the breakfast table writing. I dont worry about how good or bad it is, I can fix that later. The best way to get inspired is to keep writing.

I'm currently working on the trilogy based on my first book, The Blacklands: Origins. The second book, The Blacklands: Retaliation, should be released this week once licencing for the cover is approved. I have already started working on the third book The Blacklands: Revolution (working title) and a very early pre dated prequel, The Worlds Solution
