I find the process of sitting down to write to be quite torturous, I may get one sentence in my head and no matter how many times I walk the dog or gaze into the distance and procrastinate, no further words come. I panic that I have the dreaded block, and yet, the minute I start typing, words appear on the page, often not what I might have expected and before I know it, I've written 2000 + words.

It is based on a real life experience, I as a disolusioned, broken hearted Yorkshire lass, decided to take a 6 month sabbatical from the daily grind of London life and snapped up the opportunity to run a wildlife lodge in a tiger reserve in central India. It was an incredible culture shock, living in the jungle with no electricity or running water or mobile phone connection but it was the most incredibly beautiful destination, not without its problems, full of fascinating characters. From that point on, the book practically wrote itself.
