Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sean Patrick Smith I had the first scene written and sat on it for three years. I just thought it was a devastating scene and powerful, but I had no idea what to do with it. I kept telling myself, "This is a book, not one of your cutesy magazine articles."
