John Meza Hi Kenya, thanks for your question. The story itself has been in the news and in our culture for the past several years. There is a social injustice, a trial, protests, desire for revenge, and etc. I tried to make this same story with all of the characters being Christian in their own subtle way, as if God had a hand in all of the character’s lives.
My inspiration came in the Summer/Fall of 2019 after I listened to two very different Christian radio programs. One of the programs was great, and the other one, I wouldn’t have very positive things to say about. It made me think about how Christianity is used in a negative and political manner. I wanted to see Christianity used in a more positive artistic way, so I wrote the story. I never really intended to publish, but I thought people might enjoy the book. Thanks for reading.
John Meza No, I cant write a two sentence horror. I am not that good. I can make you a smiley face. :) I am currently attempting to write a comedy.
John Meza I am not a real pro, so I don't have to deal with the pressure that most writers have. I can always just stop writing - write something new - make something crazy up - or just skip that part and move ahead with what I am writing.
John Meza I consider myself an aspiring writer, so I would tell myself to write because I like to do it. Anything else is just extra.
John Meza A writer gets to use his or her imagination and that can be so much fun.
John Meza I used to go to school with these two guys that I thought were hilarious. They were older than me, so I didn't know them well. I just imagined what they would be like and what kinds of things they would do.
