I was once in an emergency landing on a flight from Dublin to Los Angeles. Plane landed on Baffin Island in the artic circle on a small runway with nothing but a research base. Landed safely but it was a bit hairy at the time !!

We were inspired to write the stories through a help group that contributed to the story line weekly while studying psychology and neuroscience. We were blown away by some of the young teenage contributors who found it a help to express themselves through a fictional story. We thought it worth sharing for others.

Hi.
We started out in 2017 as a group of psychology students called frogsnotpigeons with a common interest in how people with different issues express themselves through story telling. We began with a small group of volunteer participants aged between 17 and 56, who were given fantasy characters of a Witch, a Pigeon and a Frog. A different participant weekly told a story with personal meaning for them through the characters. The Pigeon represented hope and the Witch held it close. The poor Frog represented regrets and the Witch pushed it away. Each week the character meaning varied depending on the contributor and their own particular circumstances at the time.
Over a year the short stories built up into more than 200 stories and in 2018 we started to publish them through social media platforms in different languages. The first book of stories, 'Natural Frequency' published in 2020, is the first collection of stories. They are varied. Sometimes sad and sometimes funny intended to convey a message to the reader of hope.
Today, we are still students of Psychology but definitely not 'professional authors' as much as we would like to be!!
We provide work experience to students and graduates in IT, Multimedia and ecommerce.
