Grace Majer Reading inspires me to write. New ideas often come to me in the pages of someone else's book.
Grace Majer My most recent book, "You Could Have Stopped This," was inspired by my students and the situations they faced. Names and exact events have been changed for privacy, but the general struggles are similar to those my students faced.
Grace Majer Putting the final touches on "You Could Have Stopped This" and beginning the planning process on my next TWO novels!
Grace Majer Take a break! There's no rush to get words on the page. You will write a better story if you give yourself this grace. If you keep forcing yourself to write, you'll write something that isn't as good as it could have been.
Grace Majer My best advice is to make your goals smaller. Instead of your goal being to complete your work in progress, make it a daily goal to write a certain amount of words (my daily word count is always at least 1,000). When your goals are smaller and more easily achieved, you'll likely complete them! With each of these small steps, you'll eventually have your entire novel completed. Happy writing!
