N.J. Gar I've always loved Greek mythology, and was going through a phase where I was writing micro-stories about fairy tale retellings, and thought, why not write about Medusa?
Then I decided to write The Tales of Perseus and Medusa as a guide for those who aren't familiar with the tales, so that they know more about the characters I'm reimagining in my new book
N.J. Gar I read a book, listen to a song, hear people talking, watch a car drive by... I am inspired by anything and everything.
N.J. Gar My novel, Medusa, which will be out June 30th!
N.J. Gar Do you. All the advice out there is good, but too much of that will only confuse you. So do what feels right to you. That always works.
N.J. Gar The ability to create worlds with your words. To be able to affect people positively, to teach and inspire, without physically being there. The freedom to decide what to write and what to do and when to do it, because writing is art.
N.J. Gar I don't. I write when I feel like it.
N.J. Gar "Wait! You haven't...you didn't answer my question!"
And she went through life, always wondering, never knowing.
N.J. Gar Hogwarts! The world of Harry Potter is a must-visit for me, and I would take Potions classes, go to Hogsmeade, visit Gringotts, watch a Quidditch match, sit in Dumbledore's office, chat with McGonagall...
N.J. Gar Definitely The Fifth Season by N. K Jemisin. I haven't figured out the rest yet
