As I work to complete the "Re-evolution: Eaglefall" series, today I am stepping aside to work on the next episode (#18) in my Kindle Vella series. "A Tail to Tell"
I often find that taking a break to work on a variety of simultaneous projects often keeps my mind refreshed and sharper, this particular story is hard to resist.
To be honest, the story is set in the same world as my series, but it is on a much smaller level and with a personal perspective. I follow the life of a troubled teenager as she deals with unexpected mutation and the collapse of society around her. As if being a senior in high school wasn't enough stress?
"The troubles of a modern day mutant simply trying to survive high school and escape to college. Washing her laundry in the sink at school led to bullying, and that was bad enough, but then scales started appearing and people started disappearing. Getting busted for shoplifting turned into an unexpected blessing, until she found herself alone, on the streets, and society falling down around her slightly more pointy ears."
