Last year, I took a trip to San Miguel de Allende Mexico. I bought a stack of letters that were written in the 1940s....it turned out they were written by two sisters who were both US Naval Officers. One of them was married to a US military artist....such fascinating lives! So, I'm working on pulling together a book based on these letters.

I was working as a genealogist, researching a branch of my husband's family history. While paging through volumes of Amish, Mennonite & Apostolic Christian relatives, I came to the story of a mother and her three young children who had all died on the same day--March 13, 1900. Was it an accident? An illness of some kind? I called his elderly aunts and asked about it. They responded "we don't talk about that" and hung up on me. Obviously, that piqued my curiosity and I began researching.
