Ooh I can’t wait for you to read this book! Without giving too much away, it is told in first person by the MC Diana. She’s an English girl living in Manhattan running a small indie record label - on offshoot of a much larger one. But all is not going to plan. Plagued by egotistical artists and number crunchers in suits, Diana knows she’s working on borrowed time and is dreading the day she’s booted out, as no-one else would hire her and she has nowhere else to go.
Looking for an escape from it all, she happens upon a rare invitation to join an exclusive ‘dating’ club where she meets a man who takes her mind off it all - if only temporarily. They share a strangely strong connection which leads them to break at least one of the club’s membership rules.
But when Diana realises her new CEO - a man brought in to carry out the ruthless job of breaking the label apart to separate the wheat from the chaff - is the man she thought she was falling for, her world is turned upside down.

Hey Debbie! Ok so I’m way more eclectic in the tropes I enjoy reading than those I enjoy writing! In terms of what I read, I do love a dark forbidden romance trope - think Skye Warren’s Overture, Amo Jones’s Sicko, K Webster’s Hale. BUT my heart can only take so much of those before I have to go for something a little more light-hearted. But forbidden romance is definitely my thing, whether it’s age gap, billionaire, enemies-to-lovers.
In terms of the tropes I like to write, again, forbidden romance is my thing but as yet I haven’t able to broach anything too dark. I love writing about professional situations, workplaces, so my tropes gravitate towards billionaire/employee. I cannot, however, write passive or innocent women - it’s like I’m physically and mentally incapable of it! I often write second chance, enemie-to-lovers (I LOVE writing the tension) and suspense. But this is what I love about self-publishing - the freedom to explore different tropes and have access through sites like Goodreads to meet readers who are willing to go on that journey with you!

Hi Charice! I love this question, especially because I haven't long finished Zac's story and I miss him already! *sobs* The main closure comes in Book 1 when (spoiler alert!!) Lottie lets him go. BUT, Lottie does appear in Book 2 and we see how her relationship with Marcus is progressing, along with how well Zac is handling it (or not, hint hint!) You'll be pleased to know things work out happily for both Lottie and Zac, as they pursue their different life directions. I don't want to give too much away, but Zac ultimately realises his heart is elsewhere and trust me, you'll be so pleased it is!

I'm working on book 2, He Turned. It focuses on Zac Morecambe-Cheney, a secondary character from book 1. My readers LOVE Zac and really want to see him get a happy ending. Zac has a heart-breaking background which I only touched on in book 1. So this isn't only about a hot, hot, freaking-hot office romance, it's also a story about overcoming an incredibly painful past. It's deep and dark with a sizzling heat from the very first chapter!

I listen to sick beats, man. Um, that makes me sound younger and possibly cooler than I actually am. Seriously, music really inspires me: everything from Pearl Jam to Lady Gaga, and currently, everything on the Selling Sunset soundtrack - that just screams BOSS WOMAN. Also, newspaper articles about corporate scandals inspire me, browsing through photo sites and just letting my mind wander. I have a super intense imagination which comes in very handy.

Personal experience.... Haha, to an extent! I have to yet to make my millions running businesses. BUT... I have worked my whole career in fast-paced, high-adrenalin corporate environments and I've witnessed some heated office romances. I love this world so I write from a place of passion and experience, and I hope this comes across in my books.
