I take long walks each morning, after coffee, to start my motor and to clear my head. As I walk, I just going into what-iffing on various aspects of the story. The challenge is not to forget a great idea. I often stop to dictate the idea into my iPhone. I often wonder if Siri changes some of the things I say... for the better.

Don't quit your day job. It's a fulfilling experience to write something you put your heart into and get reviews that people loved your stories. I particularly love comments about sections or certain character interactions. It's so heartwarming. On the flip-side, there's no shortage of people willing to write bad reviews which is fair-enough. I use those to look at what they're referencing to see if I agree, and if changes should be made. Many times, I did, on both.

I'm working on three different books. One is a story based on the west coast of Florida when a retired, widower is discovered by an apparent heiress who lives on an exclusive island. The second book is an experiential writing exercise in the spirit of George Plimpton. More to come on that. The third book is a fundraising manual for Youth Sports Organization which are my passion and fundraising was my career. A little give back there.
