When I'm struggling with writer's block, I switch my focus to writing poetry. For me, it's not as daunting to come up with a couple of lines vs. the next chapter. I also like to take long drives or go on hikes to think about how the story should progress. If I'm still stuck, I binge read several books to find inspiration to keep writing.

I feel free when I write. I get to step inside my characters and live their lives for a moment. I get to say things I would never say in my real life. There's a little bit of me, my friends, and my family members peppered throughout my characters, but you'll only get a taste if you're truly in my inner circle. It's fun creating fictional characters and incorporating so much truth into their stories.
