Okay, so, I am not a very mysterious person. This was tough. The only thing I can think of is when I was like seventeen we were visiting family friends in a different state and the son, who I had a mild crush on way back in kindergarten, asked me to go dancing that night. He showed up at my uncle's house on time in a stupid-high lifted truck and my cousin got the creeps. She told him she'd drive me and we'd meet him there. He never showed. Or called. Or anything. Every once in a whlie I wonder what happened. Not because I care all that much, just because it was weird, you know?

Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. I just really want to take a dive in that chocolate river. Who's with me?

I LOVE to bake. One of my favorite things is to make treats and deliver to my friends, fam and neighbors.
One day I was making cookies and feeling rushed and irritated. It was one of THOSE days where everything was wonky. I kept dropping things, forgot to set out the butter to room temp... You Know.
It made me think, what would happen if what I was feeling leaked into the cookies and made everyone who ate them feel rushed and irritated.

I don't know when I'm NOT inspired to write. Everything turns into a story for me. That's how I knew I had to write. I can't NOT do it!

Creating Worlds. I LOVE the Creative Process SO much I want to marry it! Just kidding, I'm already married and I wouldn't trade that man for anything. But I do think, in a weird way, that writing is like falling in love. New story ideas are those moments when you realize you could spend the rest of forever with someone. It's exciting and amazing.
Disclaimer: this is a loose comparison. Obviously falling in love is WAY better. :)

I haven't actually experienced writer's block! I have the opposite problem, more ideas than I have time to work with! But here's a tip I read once and LOVED - when you don't know what to do next in a story or with a character, ask yourself "Then What?" and think of 5 different options. Pick your favorite and Write On!

Just write. Don't wait to be good at it. If there is only one thing I've learned in this writing/publishing process- and there's not, there's many things :) - it's that you learn best How to write, by writing.

The Sequel to Bake Believe. I have the first draft all written - let the revisions begin!!
