Yes, but not in graphic novel form. I'm working on new stories now.

I was contracted to write those 12 issues, and was asked to leave it open enough that more stories could come. I don't know what the exact plan is now, but Fox really likes these characters, so fingers crossed. I'd write more if I can. Thanks for the question. Zula's one of my favorites as well.

That's a pretty good question, and in the case of Demo was probably purely due to scheduling. Becky and I did the first Demo early in our careers when we were trying to establish ourselves. By the time we did Demo 2, we were much busier and juggling multiple projects. A shorter second series was all that was possible, if we were going to do anything at all. First Demo: 12 stories, second Demo: 6 stories.

None at all. The job was created first, since the job (chef) is the premise of the book, and Gavin was created next to fill that job.

I always prefer to work on original characters, but I would like to write an Aliens book one day.

(view spoiler)[Hi just finished the Massive and it was excellent. Question is did you have the plot for the final story arc from the beginning or did it progress and what was the significance of the slabs? (think i may have missed the significance or got it wrong) cheers. (hide spoiler)]
Brian Wood
Thanks! I did have the plot from day one, I always knew exactly how I would end the series. But I can't really answer the part about the slabs without leaving a huge spoiler for everyone to see.

My two Image books: Starve (out in May), and Black Road (out in Sept). No superhero stuff on my desk at the moment. I'm really a creator-owned guy, and after this last couple years of superhero and licensed work, I want to do more original projects.

I am not involved one bit. Its the nature of the way DC Entertainment does things. They like to separate their comic book people from the other media people.

I have recently announced Black Road, which is another viking series. Image Comics in September of this year. Garry Brown's drawing it. I've been trying to get something new going with Ryan Kelly for years, but he seems to have moved on to other projects.

I can't say for sure there will be. Right now no plans, but we never had plans to do a Volume 2 until, suddenly, all the stars aligned. So that might happen again.
