How do you get inspired to write?
Sakeya Barnes I get inspired to write by going to the beach, taking a walk, looking at stuff on Pinterest, watching a show, or reading a book similar to what I am currently working on.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sakeya Barnes I drew a lot of inspiration for The Secrets We Keep from my own life and the lives of people I know as well as the Cyntoia Brown Case. The case really struck a chord with me.
