If you find yourself stuck, change directions. Don't force your writing, don't feel like you have to stick to some schedule, write when the words speak to you. Write what speaks to you. It's going to be hard and it's going to take a while, but when you finish that book smile. Don't worry about the next one. Allow yourself to be proud of what you have written.

If I get writer's block I walk away from writing and read an old favorite, listen to some new music, or go for a walk. Anything to get my mind away from the fact that I am stuck. It seems to help after a little while.

The best thing about being a fantasy writer is getting to create your own world with its own rules. If I want sunflowers to sprout from clouds they can. There is something magical about creating a world that other people enjoy escaping into.

I have been venturing back into the Disc World Series! We take a lot of weekend trips and it is our favorite series to listen to on the drive.
