I love taking my labradoodle, Mutley, for a walk. He's ten years old now but he still has the energy of a puppy. I live by the sea in Dorset and when I have writers block I grab Mutley and go for a stroll along the coast path - which allows me to escape from my desk and keyboard which normally helps me recover from writer's bock.

I live by the beach and I am looking forward from my two break from work where I am planning to spend most days reclining on a deckchair reading my summer list which includes The Beekeeper of Aleppo (Christy Lefteri), Lost Wife (by Alyson Richman) and Where the Crawdads Sing (by Delia Owen).
