B. Furtado Actually, in the process of publishing my (English) debut novel, I discovered the word 'pantser'. Being from Brazil, most of my learning vocabulary comes from reading. In practice, what that means is that my vast vocabulary is often awfully spoken (wrong pronunciation). Anyway, despite having a clear plot to where I want to take Diana (the runner helper), I found out that the actual writing is basically just a description of the scenes I am seeing in my mind. Modern technology does help. Thus, we are able to describe and see places which are real. Scents, noise and cold, however, are difficult to perceive from Google image alone, though. End of the story? I just haven't insofar experienced writer's block. Imagery (I'm very visual) is just in front of me, and then, I just write it down. Guess, I'm a lucky one, hmm...
B. Furtado I run. I find that running unwraps this superpower in which I do not have to systematically consider tasks or decisions. I just run. And when I run, about 2 miles in (really, usually at about the same spot) things, answers, titles, catching results just come to my mind. It might be a fishing e-mail I'd never thought about, a new project, or just a scene which just feels right. I pull up my phone in mid-stride and record it for later. The recording sounds like a gasping, stammered sentence. The novelty, however, is right there.
