Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Colin Lindsay My daughter was the inspiration behind The Goddess's Scythe series. I tried to get her to co-write it, but she would have none of it. :(

How do you get inspired to write?
Colin Lindsay I write to explore the human condition and create characters that inspire.

What are you currently working on?
Colin Lindsay I'm working on a new project, with a working title of "The Innocents". It's urban YA and I'm very excited about it. Hopefully, I get it out in 2021. I like to finish an entire series before releasing it.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Colin Lindsay Never let self-doubt hold you back. You'll never know what you're capable of without trying.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Colin Lindsay The best thing about writing is connecting with people on a really visceral plane. It may be subversive, but it is extremely rewarding.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Colin Lindsay I don't actually get writer's block, but I find long bike rides conducive to ruminating over the storyline.
