I was born in Havana, Cuba and I emigrated to the US in 1961. After reading other Cuban authors, I knew i had many stories to tell about growing up in my native land. I remember vividly what my family had to endure under a totalitarian government. I wanted to tell people how Cuba went from a prosperous country to a socialist/communist disaster and how easily your freedom is lost.
