The memoir listed here came at a time when I was grieving and home during the pandemic. I was experiencing clarity on some issues I had struggled with for some time. It poured out. I needed to write it all down - it was time.
The novel I am just finishing was partially inspired by thinking about the town of Madrid, New Mexico. The place made an impression on me when I was there a couple years ago. I knew I wanted to set a story in that place. I started with a character in that place, and then the story built from there. I didn't know where it was going when I started.
