Great question... I just sit and begin to write. It rambles, it sucks, it is horrible, but after a while I begin to get back into the story. Also, I use Chris Fox "SALES" technique to set up the premise and rough outline of all of the chapters before I begin. This helps me a lot! If I stall, that is a strong indication I didn't set up the premise and chapter layout correctly... so go back to ensure I have a solid Setting, Antagonist, Lead(Hero), Ending, Start. I write the ending (roughly) before I do anything else to help ensure that every step is leading our hero and antagonist to meet at that point.

Write... write now... write more and don't stop. I feel that sometimes, new writers want to create the perfect novel. Don't. Write and publish. Gain experience by doing it. I hear about writers who are concerned about how others will negatively view their work. Screw that. Write for fun. Write because you enjoy it. Remember, when you first tried to learn how to walk, you fell down a lot. Writing is like that. Get up and keep going. If you want some outstanding guidance, check out Chris Fox books on writing and his YouTube videos.
