I love to explore! Over the last year, I spent a lot of time hiking on new trails, visiting new places, and meeting new people. Experiencing new things always inspires me. The final scene of Natural Born came from a trip I took last year with my husband and oldest daughter to New Jersey!

Natural Born is very much my baby and I have dedicated a crazy amount of time to it. The main character, Quid, has been with me one way or another since I was very young. When I was in high school, I would take college classes at Sinclair and I learned that I enjoyed walking around downtown. I would carry my heavy book bag, feeling the wind push at my back and listen to the sounds of the city. It felt to me like the wind was always trying to tell me a secret. One morning I was walking to my car, on the very top of this parking garage and there was an enormous bird perched on the hood of my car! It was because of this bird that Fen was created.
