It was really simple. I looked my two children and wife in the eyes and determined that I would never be able to tell them this story in person. It is a very difficult and awkward conversation for anyone. By writing it all down, my hope was that I could pass some history to may family--and give them a chance to know a little bit more about their father and husband.
