Anna J. Walner My Biological father. The Uluru Legacy Series is based on my adoption, just as Amelia is adopted from Houston hospital, as was I. The only missing piece being my biological father, which is why Amelia never meets hers either.

I have reconnected with my maternal biological history, but not my paternal. His name is Ed Saunders and he is from Australia, which is why the series is set there.
Anna J. Walner Reading, reading, reading. I didn't understand when I was a child, that I was what we call now, and introvert. I preferred to live in the world of books, to read constantly, and experience amazing tales in place of a boring life.
As I got older I began to think more creatively, write in my journal more creatively. It was nearly an organic evolution to becoming a writer.
The Enrovia Series began as an experiment over five years ago! I would get the urge and put it down, then pick it back up. Only last year did I finish writing Ethera and the Island of Evisara. I finished for my daughter, and began the second one. I was officially hooked on writing then.
Anna J. Walner Garkain follows the story of Amelia on a quest to find her family after being adopted. I drew inspiration from my own story, being adopted as a baby myself. The only information I learned was that I had an Australian heritage. I decided to take that and run to the strangest places I could with it, and thus The Colony was born.
All adopted children wonder at some point if there's a magical or fantastic reason for why they were adopted. Finding so fantastic story of my own I wrote one!
Anna J. Walner At this time, 10.24.20, I am currently working on the second book in The Uluru Legacy. I'm not giving out the name yet, but I'm loving where it's going at the moment. A lot of new and exciting revelations and surprises, new challenges. Answers to questions readers might have been left with after reading Garkain . . .
Anna J. Walner Getting to experience the pain, happiness, love, and experiencing with my characters as I write them. What they feel, I feel in that moment of writing the scene. It's a vicarious writing experience for me, I live in that book, if only for a brief time.
And that's the experience I try to create for readers, to walk along with Amelia or Hailey. To live a different reality while the pages are open in the books.
