Walking in the woods is a surefire way for me to get inspired. I also love to travel. Experiencing new places and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone helps me develop richer characters and worlds.

Ora and the Old God really started with a transformation. In the original manuscript, it was Ora who changed into something else (maybe I'll share more one day!), but I didn't want the story to be about a girl needing to be saved. I wanted the girl to do the saving. So, I ended up with a story that's very different from its earliest renditions.
