Mace Palmer When I had to grind out 1200 words per day as a newspaper reporter at a small daily, I learned there was no such thing as writers block. When I came to work in the morning I had no idea what I'd write about. By the end of my shift I'd cranked out the mandatory 1200 words. Nowadays, if I don't write as planned, I conclude my brain is working on it unconsciously, and all will be well eventually.
