I got the idea for my current WiP halfway through writing The Fire Within My Heart, when I was living in Glasgow, but the plot was very different when I first thought of it, as the ending of The Fire Within My Heart was also going to be very different. I went to a beautiful necropolis near Tennant's Brewery and it inspired a whole scene in my head which I lead on from to become the plot.
Six or so months later and that one scene has not only become a basis for the plot but also uncovered a lot of Rune's history for me (he's a cagey man, and does not give this information up freely—not even to me!)

I am currently writing book two in the Scarlet Cherie: Vampire Series, a sequel to The Fire Within My Heart.
Without giving too much away at this current point in time, I can say that this book finds Scarlet Cherie exploring more places around the U.K (a trip up north to Scotland) and introduces a new character who will begin to play an important part of the series (I wish I could say more, as he's quickly become a favourite of mine, but it is too early!)
