C.D. Steele I was 10 or maybe 11 and had a friend next door to me where I grew up. We had seen each other almost everyday but one day I woke up and her and her family were just gone like that. I always wondered if they were in witness protection or something like that. Never know ...
C.D. Steele My Newest title which I just added if i did it right, lol, is Creepy Land House which came to me when I was on a road trip and saw a run down old house nestled back from the road amongst a bunch of trees. That night had a dream about the place and that's how the story came to be.
C.D. Steele Read, read and read. It also helps that my regular job is dull so it gives my mind time to wander and come up with ideas. If the idea sticks around I try to turn it into a story. Sometimes it flops other times it works. you never know what will happen.
C.D. Steele I currently have three works on the go. 1 short story and 2 Novella type stories that may turn into full novels. I am what's called a Pantser as I let my books take me on an adventure.
C.D. Steele I am the same in that fact that I recently decided to push my hobby into the light to give it a try. I'm not one for technology so still learning how to use the various online resources. Best advice though is write to have fun. If you plan on publishing you just have to realize some will like your stuff others wont but in the end you have to write for you.
C.D. Steele To show my child its worth taking chances and simply to just enjoy creating new worlds and new stories. Some people will like what you write others won't so I do it for the pleasure of it.
C.D. Steele I read, or actually my current job helps with that as it distracts me for a time but most of the time if I'm really stuck I will play video games to distract myself. I find that if I can distract myself enough then the block sort of just caves in and a flood of work flows from me well that and a nice strong coffee helps ;)
C.D. Steele At present I have a few on the go. I am reading Stephen Kings Night Shift short story collection, The Slob by Aron Beauregard and The big Book of the Masters Of Horror.
