The idea from our Shadowed Souls came from a combination of things. The heroine was a side character so I needed to continue her story. Mignon used to be my best friend in real life. She passed away ten years ago, and I wanted to honor her. The rest of the plot came from watching a reality show called Castaway, though the story evolved so much during the writing process, it turned out nothing like the show.

I find inspiration everywhere I look. I got an idea for a new series from driving by an unfortunate victim of roadkill. Characters speak to me, and they're often loud, so I have to write their stories or I won't be able to hear my own thoughts ;)
