My first go-to is to push back my chair and take some deep breaths. The breath can interrupt the monkey chatter in my head and get me back to what I need to be doing. If that doesn't work, I take a walk outside. Nature is my solid go-to respite. If needed, when I come back from my walk, I will journal anything that came up to get it out of my mind and then get back to writing.

I have chosen topics for two more books, following the same nature of my first one, "Fall in Love with the Whispers of Your Heart." I'm also exploring the union of my piano playing with my writing. I am dabbling in composing music that is inspired by the poems and prayers that are included in my book.

It's all about mindset. I go to my office, which has a window and is away from the rest of the activity in the house, take some deep breaths and write what is on my heart. I was a bit self-conscious when I first started writing for my book, knowing that it would be published as a book. I nudged myself to move through that and just get started. From there, the writing felt more like it moved through me.

My own life experience of navigating the healing journey after a divorce inspired my work as a healer and well as my inspiration for my book. I was searching for support and ways to explore what I held so tightly within. At the same time, I wanted something more private that I could do on my own time, in my own space, and at a pace that felt comfy for me. This book merges my curiosity for quotes and reflection questions with mantras to help shift the thought patterns.
