An error occurred while sorting questions for author J.C.M. Berne.
Do authors get notified if minor typographical errors are reported by readers via Kindle? Do authors prefer that readers report minor typos? I recently saw some authors complain that Amazon only gives them a few days to make corrections, and that if they do not address the errors, the book can be marked as "low quality." I have always thought I was helping authors, but now I am questioning that assumption.
J.C.M. Berne Great question! I have no idea. I have never been notified of an error, but I'm not sure anyone has reported any to Kindle (I've gotten lots of direct messages with typos). I'd be happy to experiment - if you find a typo in my book, report it and I'll let you know what happens! (I'm sure there are still typos, though I've fixed many already). I don't have one to suggest, though.

J.C.M. Berne The endless supply of money you receive from royalties. Money might not buy happiness, but it really facilitates it!

How do you deal with writer’s block?
J.C.M. Berne Tequila.
More seriously, I find that if I have writer's block, it's because something in my plot or character arcs has pushed me into a stale dead end. If I re-evaluate the scenes before the blocking point I can usually figure out how I wrote myself into a corner and resolve the issue.
