Read. Write. Do your research. Have a support system of at least one or two people close to you that you can share your writing and ideas with. For me, it's not fun to go through the whole process by myself. I like sharing and getting input. That stuff helps. Keep writing and worry about all the other stuff once you're done.

I deal with writer's block by stopping to write and doing something else. I'll play records on the turntable, watch YouTube, movies or shows, look up things I want to buy, or read other material. It's essentially a reset. I'll take another try at writing when I feel like it and if things are working, I'll continue moving forward.
