Sandy Jones I don't fret or obsess over it. Sometimes I may go weeks without putting finger to keyboard but I never stop thinking about it and sometimes inspiration comes from an unlikely source. I also blog so that is writing if not what I'm supposed to be working on!
Sandy Jones From my husband and personal experiences plus news stories that were too incredible to miss out. The book started life as a short story. The central characters wouldn't leave me alone so I was forced to tell the rest of their story.
Sandy Jones A sequel to The Mulholland Files and a stand alone novel about a woman who is researching her family history and finds more than she bargained for.
Sandy Jones Don't give up. Make writing a habit and a pleasure. Read as well as write and think about your readers. Who are they? What type of book do they enjoy reading? Imagine your characters to be real people and make them speak, think and act like real people! Sounds simple but it's a game changer. Once you've finished your first draft give it to friends to read and get their honest opinions. Don't take criticism to heart, learn from it. But most of all enjoy writing!
Sandy Jones making my characters live and breathe on the page so that my readers believe in them too
