What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Shawne Steiger Write because you have something to say. Write because you want to. Write because you feel better when you write. Don't write because you hope to become famous, get a movie, or quit your day job. Also, always remember that a rejection of your story or book is not a rejection of you as a person. Sometimes it might be as simple as that a journal doesn't have enough pages left in the issue to fit your story, or something about the content isn't quite right.
