I had a nightmare; the kind that literally jolts you awake and seems so real that for a second or two, you don’t realize you’ve been dreaming.
In it, my "one that got away" was screaming profanities at me, telling me to leave him the “expletive deleted” alone. Along with the realization that I had some issues to put to rest came the inspiration and the first few scenes of my novel.
I put aside the other projects I’d been working on and just started writing.
